Property development executive Brian Vanderburgh draws on decades of experience, which includes construction of the Treasure Island and Paris Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Currently, Brian Vanderburgh applies his expertise as a senior project manager for Hedrick Brothers Construction, where he began working after serving as an area project manager at Wynn Design & Development in Las Vegas.
Alongside his work, Mr. Vanderburgh maintains memberships with several local chambers of commerce and the Commercial Real Estate Development Corporation (NAIOP). Founded in 1967, the organization represents more than 19,000 real estate owners, investors, and developers across the country. Members benefit not only from educational initiatives and business opportunities, but also from the NAIOP’s extensive advocacy work.
NAIOP recently established a set of three core legislative priorities it would advocate for in 2018. These include support for infrastructure and transportation development through continued federal funding, the use of public-private partnerships, and friendly regulatory policies. The organization also supports the availability of capital and credit for the real estate industry, along with strong oversight. Finally, the NAIOP supports environmentally sound building codes and energy efficiency initiatives such as the EPA’s Energy Star and Brownfields programs.
