MSG Sphere Las Vegas - Reinventing the Future of Entertainment


A construction management expert with 25 years of experience, Brian Vanderburgh has overseen several successful projects in Las Vegas. During his career, Brian Vanderburgh has served in various project management positions, including as the preconstruction and hospitality-construction manager at Hedrick Brothers Construction. MSG Sphere is an ongoing project in Las Vegas that has shown a lot of promise, and that has caught the attention of Mr. Vanderburgh and fellow industry experts due to its unique characteristics.

The 18,000-seat MSG Sphere is being constructed under a partnership between Madison Square Garden and the Las Vegas Sands. The project is expected to revolutionize the way people interact with live music, as it brings high-quality visuals and audio under one roof. 

Upon opening, the planet-shaped venue is expected to create 4,400 permanent jobs for the residents of Las Vegas. It is also estimated that the 360-foot-tall sphere will generate a whopping $48 million in tax revenue per annum.

Jim Neyer Takes Over as 2018 NAIOP Chairman


With over 25 years of construction and property development experience, Brian Vanderburgh serves as vice president of hospitality and preconstruction at Hedrick Brothers Construction, a Florida-based firm with a large portfolio of commercial and residential projects. Much of his previous work was focused in Las Vegas, where he held leadership positions with Perini Building Company, Marnell Corrao and Associates, and Wynn Design and Development. Throughout his career in Las Vegas, Florida, and other areas, Brian Vanderburgh has maintained memberships in industry groups such as NAIOP.

One of the largest commercial real estate groups in North America, NAIOP has welcomed Jim Neyer as its 2018 chairman. A longtime NAIOP member, Neyer joined the organization in 1995 and has since held several important leadership positions.

As a key player on NAIOP’s board of directors and executive committee, he helped lead initiatives focused on member education and government affairs. For many years, he also has served as a faculty member at the group’s Center for Education while working to improve his home NAIOP chapter in Cincinnati. 

Professionally, Neyer has served as executive vice president of Cincinnati’s AI. Neyer, LLC, for over two decades. As NAIOP’s 2018 chairman, he will lead the 50-year-old organization as it advances several initiatives, including its Strategic Plan 2018-2020, which is focused on driving member success by promoting improved policies, chapter relations, and knowledge resources.
